The Nehemiah Principle

The Mission of AIMS is to serve the 6 mission stations (or preaching points) established by the missionaries nearly 90 years ago. Each mission or ministry was required by the Government of Liberia to carry out medical and educational work. In order to accomplish this mission, the organization decided to employ the Nehemiah principle as outlined in Nehemiah chapter 3. The events of Nehemiah chapter 3 suggests that the residents who lived adjacent to a broken section of the wall made the necessary repairs. Nehemiah 3:10 says,

Example

“Adjoining this, Jedaiah son of Harumaph made repairs opposite his house, and Hattush son of Hashabneiah made repairs next to him.”

We have found it far more effective to have people from a particular area where a school is located to band together to serve that school. Take Gay Peter for example. Former students, teachers, and even residents with no connection to the school at Gay Peter Mission can band together to form a team to serve the Gay Peter Mission Station. As we speak, we have a Saclepea Mission Team (SMT), and a Garplay Mission Team (GMT) in operation.

Very soon we will have a Flumpa Mission Team (FMT) and a Bahn Catawba Mission Team (BCMT) going. Join us and let’s make this a reality.
